A lamb souvlaki burger brings the familiar combination of lamb, tzatziki, feta and lemon into a toasted bun. Ready-made patties make this a practical barbecue or frying-pan dinner.
Estimated prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 10 minutes
Total: 20 minutes
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 4 The Lucky Pig Lamb Souvlaki Burger Patties
- 4 soft burger buns
- ½ iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 100 g feta, crumbled
- ½ cup tzatziki
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Lemon wedges, to serve

Method
- Heat a frying pan or barbecue over medium-high heat. Drizzle the lamb patties with a little olive oil and cook for 4–5 minutes each side, or until cooked through and nicely caramelised.
- Lightly toast the burger buns.
- Spread the base of each bun generously with tzatziki, then layer with shredded lettuce, tomato, lamb patty, red onion and crumbled feta.
- Finish with another spoonful of tzatziki and a squeeze of lemon, then top with the bun.

Butcher’s Tip
Toast the cut sides of the buns and have the salad ready before you cook. Cook the patties through, then build the burgers while they are hot.
How to Serve
Serve each burger with a lemon wedge so everyone can add a squeeze at the table.
