Creamy Sausage Orzo with Chilli, Ale & Parmesan

A one-pan comfort dish featuring our award-winning Leaning Tower sausages


Looking for a hearty, flavour-packed dinner that’s ready in under an hour? This Creamy Sausage Orzo is everything: rich, spicy, satisfying, and best of all, it heroes our award-winning Leaning Tower sausages made in-house at The Lucky Pig.


With chilli, craft ale, and premium pork, these sausages bring a bold Italian-inspired flavour that transforms simple ingredients into something magic.

🛒 Ingredients

 

 

  • 500g Leaning Tower Pork, Chilli & Ale Sausages

  • 1 cup orzo

  • ½ Spanish onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, diced

  • 500ml beef stock 

  • 250ml pouring cream

  • 50g grated parmesan

  • 1 tin cannellini beans, drained

  • 2 handfuls baby spinach

  • 1 handful chopped parsley

  • Fresh chilli, squeeze of lemon & chopped parsley, to serve

👨🍳 Method

 

 

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat. Add sausages and cook until browned, breaking them up roughly as they cook.

  2. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.

  3. Stir in the orzo and toast it lightly for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Pour in the beef stock and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has absorbed.

  5. Stir in the cream and let it thicken slightly until the sauce is luscious and creamy.

  6. Add the parmesan, cannellini beans, and spinach. Stir gently until everything is warmed through and the spinach is wilted.

  7. Serve garnished with a little chopped parsley, a fresh squeeze of lemon, and fresh chilli for that kick.
