Lamb Kofta Wraps with Dosa and Spiced Yoghurt

If you’re after a quick, flavour-packed dinner that feels a bit special without much effort, these lamb kofta wraps are a winner.

Juicy lamb kofta cooked until golden, wrapped in soft dosa or pita, topped with fresh tomato and cucumber, herby yoghurt and finished with a fragrant spiced burnt butter β€” this is an easy weeknight meal that delivers big flavour fast.

Ingredients

For the wraps

Herby yoghurt

  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • Β½ tsp salt
  • 1 clove garlic, finely diced
  • Chopped mint
  • Chopped coriander

Spiced burnt butter

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Β½ tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • Β½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Β½ tsp salt

Method

  1. Cook the lamb kofta until golden and cooked through. Keep warm.
  2. Warm the dosa or pita until soft and pliable.
  3. Combine the diced tomatoes, cucumber and torn mint in a bowl. Set aside.
  4. Mix the yoghurt, salt, garlic, mint and coriander until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  5. Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat until foaming and lightly golden. Add the fennel seeds, cumin seeds, curry powder, smoked paprika and salt. Cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.
  6. To assemble, place lamb kofta onto the warm dosa or pita. Top with the tomato and cucumber mix.
  7. Drizzle generously with herby yoghurt and finish with the spiced burnt butter.
  8. Roll up and serve immediately.
