Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

🔥 Turn up the heat with our Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers. This is the ultimate mix of smoky, creamy, and sweet. Fresh jalapeños are stuffed with caramelised onion and cream cheese, wrapped in streaky bacon, then finished with a drizzle of maple syrup for a perfectly caramelised bite.


Perfect for sharing at gatherings or adding a little spice to your weeknight cook-up, these poppers are quick to make and guaranteed crowd-pleasers.

Ingredients:


6 jalapeños

300g streaky bacon from The Lucky Pig

200g Philadelphia cream cheese

½ onion, caramelised

A handful of chopped parsley

2 tbsp maple syrup

Jalapeno poppers being assembled, cream cheese inside jalapeño and bacon beside

Method:

  • Preheat the grill or oven to medium–high.

  • Halve the jalapeños lengthways and remove seeds. Lightly grill them cut-side down for a few minutes to soften and add flavour.

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, caramelised onion, and parsley.

  • Fill each jalapeño half with the mixture, then wrap with a strip of bacon.

  • Grill or bake until the bacon is nearly crisp.

  • Brush with maple syrup and continue cooking until caramelised.

Serve warm with an extra drizzle of maple syrup.
